Business Case
A business case is developed to summarise the rationale of the product development, list the business options available (build, buy or integrate), measure expected benefits including qualitative and quantitative research, anticipated or expected challenges, timescale, anticipated/estimated costs, summary of the business model, return on investment appraisal, tactics to mitigate risk and approval from member of the board, head of sales and marketing.
Without a Business Case there is no business accountability and hence development should not commence.
